Silman

Founded by Bob Silman in 1966, Silman is the structural engineering firm behind some of the most recognized architecture of the past several decades. Well-known for their preservation work on Frank Lloyd Wright’s iconic Fallingwater in the 1990s, the firm went on to work on Renzo Piano’s Whitney Museum, David Adjaye’s African American History Museum, and SANAA’s Grace Farms, to name a few. For Office Use Only was commissioned to redesign Silman’s website to showcase the breadth and depth of the firms over 10,000 projects and contextualize the unique role Silman engineers have played in collaborating with architects to realize great architecture. The site experience was developed to reveal the unique culture and humanity of a world-class engineering firm founded on the premise on working with passion and joy.
